Pimpri: The traffic problem in Pimpri Chinchwad city is increasing day by day. In Sharad Nagar Chikhali, the citizens are frustrated due to the daily traffic congestion on the underpass road, so Baban bapu Pawar has requested the Municipal Corporation to take immediate measures in this matter.
Flyovers and underpasses have been constructed to connect both sides of the road in many areas above the spine road. To reduce its stress, an underpass has been made at Sharadnagar to allow the residents of Sharadnagar, Sudarshan Nagar and Gharkul areas of Chikhali to come from both sides of the road. However, even though it is required to build at least 40 feet wide, the municipal corporation made a thirty feet underpass and also in this, due to the construction of footpaths on both sides, hardly any four wheeler vehicles come at a very short distance when they come face to face.
Pimpri Chinchwad has the highest number of two-wheeler users, while the number of two-wheelers and four-wheelers on their way home after leaving work in the evening leads to traffic jams in many parts of the city. In addition, in the underpass of Sharad Nagar, local citizens have started suffering due to traffic congestion in the evening. Baban Pawar along with local citizens have demanded that the municipal corporation should take immediate measures and the police administration should appoint traffic police at this place.
